Missing Fleet Carrier “The FNS Intrepid”

New investigations are currently taking place to track down the FNS Intrepid Fleet Carrier that went missing a week ago after a frame shift malfunction caused it to unexpectedly jump to a unknown system. The FNS Intrepid was due to enter service in 3305 but was postponed to 3306 due to unforeseen maintenance issues.

FOV News managed to get an exclusive interview from Admiral Alexander Sepulveda, who gave the following statement:

“On February the 24th, the 87th Naval Fleet suffered a technical anomaly with its new fleet carrier, the FNS Intrepid.

The vessel was undergoing the final stages of its fitting out before being fully commissioned in the Federal Auxiliary Navy.

At approximately 15:35 local time however, a cascade energy event occurred that… lurched the vessel into an unscheduled frame shift jump. The vessel’s skeleton engineering crew was able to escape with ease and there were no reported casualties.

At this time, the whereabouts of the vessel are… Unknown, though suspected to be the Col sector. Emergency data bursts are being triangulated and suggest that the vessel is not damaged, if not low on fuel.

In other news RFOV Security Consultant Amelia Vale has announced that the Voltrigones Expeditionary Navy will pledge some of its new exploration ships to aid in the locating of the FNS Intrepid, more on this story later…
