  • Solent CTA & Portsmouth Airspace: Solent Radar (120.230) provides ATS along the Solent corridor. Keep clear of the Portsmouth naval restricted zones and Solent Controlled Airspace.
  • Beachy Head & Seven Sisters: Rising over 500 ft sheer out of the Channel, Beachy Head creates severe lee-side updrafts and rotor in southerly/southeasterly surface winds. Maintain at least 2,000 ft along the cliff line.
  • Dungeness Peninsula & Lydd (EGMD): Lydd sits on a flat, gravelly shingle spit protruding into the Channel. Look out for Dungeness Nuclear Power Station restricted area (EG R045) immediately southwest of the airfield.
